The essay selection process can be intense. Not everyone is able to write an essay that will allow them to get into an Ivy League school. The pressure is intense and the competition fierce. Calabrese has failed this test, not once, but twice.

The first time he was passed over for an acceptance was the toughest blow of all. A year later, he failed it again, at a much higher caliber school. This time he thought that he had overcome the loss of his high school acceptance.

He had made it through Harvard on his second try. But at Cornell, he had failed again. To make matters worse, Callan was not alone on the interview team.

There were four other students who had interviewed with him and they all had their own stories of failure on their records as well as their own reasons for being there on this day.
